The Socio-Technical Risk Analysis (SoTeRiA) Research Laboratory at the Nuclear, Plasma, and Radiological Engineering (NPRE) Department is leading the upcoming Probabilistic Safety Assessment and Management (PSAM) Topical Conference on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Risk Analysis for Probabilistic Safety/Security Assessment & Management.” This topical conference will be held virtually on October 23-25, 2023.

The conference seeks to attract experts in AI, Machine Learning (ML), and risk analysis from all over the world to discuss cutting-edge research and applications. The conference welcomes submissions that address various topics, including AI and ML to support risk analysis and risk-informed decision-making, uncertainty quantification for AI and ML technologies, and risk-informed design and regulation of AI and ML technologies (please see the topical areas of interest here: https://conferences.illinois.edu/psam/index.html).

To present research at the conference, participants can submit an abstract alone or an abstract with an accompanying full paper. Both abstracts and papers will be published as part of a conference proceedings and will be assigned a permanent identifier/URL for citation and indexing in Google Scholar.
