The new degree from the college’s Technology Entrepreneur Center is intended for engineering students to better understand the innovative processes involved in identifying complex technical problems and creating, developing, and leading efforts to provide engineering solutions.
A member of NPRE’s faculty since 2013 and the department’s current Associate Head of Graduate Programs, Allain served as an Illinois Faculty Entrepreneurial Fellow in 2016. He is also the Founder and President of the nano-fabrication early-stage startup Editekk Inc., located in Enterprise Works at Research Park on the University of Illinois Urbana campus.
