NPRE - Visionary Scholarships

Requirements and Description:

MAKE A GIFT  to support the
NPRE Visionary Scholarships.

Nuclear, Plasma, and Radiological Engineering Visionary Scholarships assist tremendously with recruiting and retaining NPRE’s best and brightest undergraduate students. These scholarships are designed to be transformational, and can make a tangible difference in a student's ability to afford attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Exelon Corporation, a Chicago-based Fortune 100 utility company that woks in every stage of the energy business – power generation, competitive energy sales, transmission and delivery – has been instrumental in establishing Engineering Visionary Scholarships within NPRE.

The Engineering Visionary Scholarship Initiative was conceived as a partnership between the University of Illinois College of Engineering and The Grainger Foundation, which pledged to match up to $25 million in gifts to the program through the end of 2019. The program was designed to ensure Illinois Engineering attracts diverse and talented students while helping to reduce their debt. Particular focus is on highly qualified students from the State of Illinois. The vision is to provide students with large, renewable scholarships that transform their undergraduate experience, and help them choose Illinois.
