Partnerships

Corporate Partners

NPRE embraces the idea of a global community, including shared knowledge and resources. Combining efforts of alumni, corporations, governments and scientists not only brings collective work to the forefront and new technologies into reality, but also creates opportunities for our students.

Collaborations with industrial partners have spread across the NPRE faculty's research interests into Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA), semi-conductor processing, plasma manufacturing technologies and modeling, innovative nuclear energy applications and advanced reactor commercialization. NPRE faculty are working with many industries, including:

ASML DuPont Energy Driven Technologies (Edittek)
Exelon Corporation General Fusion General Motors
Lockheed Martin POSCO South Texas Project Nuclear Operating Co.
Starfire Industries, LLC Tokamak Energy Tokyo Electron Ltd.

Federal Agencies

NPRE faculty work with a number of government agencies to advance technologies and support research programs. Among those are the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, U.S. Department of Defense, National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, and NASA.

Center for Plasma-Material Interactions

Our primary objective is to study plasma-material interactions relevant to fusion, semiconductors, and plasma manufacturing through a combination of computational and experimental means. Projects are supported by both government and commercial partners to further the application and knowledge of plasma physics.
