This includes the traditional areas of nuclear fission for production of electric power as well as nuclear fusion as a near-term scientific tool and as a future energy source.
The diverse research being performed across NPRE reflects the creative interests and breadth of experience of its faculty members and of the department.
Within NPRE there are several groups including faculty, graduate and undergraduate students working together on significant energy and materials research projects.
