For the past several years, a group of NPRE students have taken a two-week study abroad to Okarshamm, Sweden, where they have gained a comprehensive overview of spent nuclear fuel management that emphasizes the site selection process for a deep geological repository. NPRE Prof. Tomasz Kozlowski and Adjunct Prof. William Roy have taught courses for the program in Sweden and prior to the trip to prepare the students.
