Professor Jones’ name has been synonymous with nuclear engineering at Illinois since the program’s beginnings over 50 years ago. He has made seminal contributions to many aspects of nuclear reactor science, and has kindly shepherded nearly every NPRE student through our program.
In honor of our esteemed professor’s retirement, NPRE will host a reception from 2 to 4 p.m.,Thursday, September 29, 2011, on the third floor of Engineering Hall, 1308 W. Green St. NPRE alumni and friends are welcome to attend and can confirm their plans by using the online form.
