Selection of topic:
The topic selected must be one which is agreed upon both by the student and the instructor, should be accomplished with the equipment and other support available, should be of a type included in the list below, and should be of a size consistent with the number of units of credit established.
Procedure:
The student and the instructor should confer prior to starting such a project for planning and development of a program of work. This plan should cover:
The nature of the work and its place in the overall technological picture;
Outline of approach(es) proposed;
List of equipment required and other support needed, with indications where these are to be found.
Type of Projects:
Projects should satisfy one or more of the following requirements:
Study of the method of testing or developing an instrument
Reports:
Each investigation shall be concluded by submission of a report in writing.

Prerequisites:Consent of instructor.

Purpose of Course: An elective for major or minor in Nuclear Engineering which gives the graduate student the opportunity to carry out individual experimental investigation of his own choosing, under the supervision of a faculty member qualified in the area of investigation.
